The company
Quoniam is among the pioneers in the development of quantitative investment strategies and one of the most successful investment boutiques in Germany.
The company was founded in 1999 as a joint venture. The shareholders were DG BANK AG (DZ Bank AG since 2001), based in Frankfurt/Main, Germany (40 %), PanAgora Asset Management Inc., based in Boston, USA (40 %), and the company management (20 %). In 2002, the shares held by DZ BANK were transferred to Union Asset Management Holding AG, which took over PanAgora’s shareholding in 2009 after ten thoroughly successful years as a joint venture. As part of this transaction, the management increased its stake to 25 % in 2010. The new shareholder structure also brought with it a change of company name: Union PanAgora became Quoniam Asset Management GmbH. Quoniam remains an independent asset manager led by an established management team, with five of its six members having been part of the company ever since its foundation.
The company’s success has been built on a clear focus ever since day one: we develop quantitative investment strategies in the core asset classes of European and global equities and fixed-income bonds for institutional investors.
Based on an investor’s individual preferences, investments are made in asset management portfolios, segregated accounts (German “Spezialfonds”) or institutional mutual funds.
We are an enthusiastic partner for intelligent investment solutions.
